Martha Kuwee Kumsa,PhD
“Freedom, Feminism and Oromo Culture“
Kuwee Kumsa spent 10 years as a prisoner of conscience in Ethiopia in the 1980s after writing for a newspaper that was critical of the brutal military regime. She holds PhD. in social work and is currently a lecturer at Wilfred Laurier University in Canada. She specializes in global issues, human rights & Oromo culture.

Introduction to REAL

One hundred and twenty-five people gathered to celebrate the work of REAL and to raise funds for the "Keep the Girls in School" program.
Nearly $3500 was raised, enough to sponsor one girl for five years and a teacher.
