REAL is supporting 15 girls in a school operated by the Ethiopian Evangelical Church—Mekane Yesus in Nedjo, Ethiopia. A local committee selected the girls based on academic potential and financial need. In addition to uniforms, books, and tuition a stipend is paid to the family of the girls to better the lot of the whole family. Such support sends a message about the importance of education for girls. A mentor for each cluster of girls is included in the sponsorship amount.
