Sponsors for 45 Additional Girls Sought
REAL board votes to add three clusters of girls for 2008-09
The REAL board voted at the January meeting to extend support to an additional 45 girls.
The locations of the three new clusters is being explored. One of the goals of the program is to witness to the community of the importance of girls eduction. Therefore, new communities will be sought for the three new clusters.
The fledgling REAL program also requires use of an existing Ethiopian infrastructure to administer the funds. The synods of the Ethiopian Evangelical Church Mekane Yesus and a couple of Ethiopian congregations provide that administrative assistance for the present seven clusters.
Presently one hundred and five Ethiopian girls, in seven clusters, are fulfilling their dreams of continuing their education. Their life stories are touching and their goals are thrilling. REAL is now seeking 45 additional sponsors who will pledge the $360 to change the life of an Ethiopian girl
