Q&A

Watch REAL Board Secretary
Bontu Galaata's reflections on the transformative impact of REAL after her first visit to REAL sites in January 2023.

When I was 13 years old, I was responsible for taking care of my family. It was hard to learn because I can’t pay my school fee in time and study due to work load. That was the worst moment of my life, but thanks to REAL I can pay my fees and fulfill what I need in order to keep my education and even help my family a little bit. REAL makes me a little shooting star—all my family believes on me. Now I am 5th year Mechanical Engineering student. as we know mechanical engineering field is not advisable for female students, but look at me I made it!"
